We were adding a wall to our great room and decided to get an electric fireplace verses a gas fireplace. We have never used an electric fireplace before and we were really pleased with our Dimplex 33 inch. It's clean and simple to use. The wall remote makes it nice and we like the option of using batteries instead of hardwiring the remote. So nice. We love the realistic flame and if we could afford it (maybe later), we would love to have a free standing electric fireplace in each room. It really saves on your heat pump and you get heat on demand without the wait.

It does not have timer delay, but easy to operate, attractive design. I think this switch is better than a conventionnal remote.
