We bought a bargain empty mantle from HD Design Center & this insert is perfect for it. We can now sit in our living room & have heat where we want it without heating all the other rooms.
Plug it in & enjoy - what a concept!
Service and delivery comments:
Great delivery service except that we had to call the shipper & remind them to put it on a truck from their warehouse to our home. It sat there for a few days & they neglected to call. Thank heaven for the tracking feature.
When it did arrive the delivery driver was very nice and helped me unpack the thing for inspection.

we used the Dimplex 26" as an insert to our fireplace,installation was very simple,and with the remote it is very easy to run,we love the realistic flame and glowing embers, and with the heat sorce, makes you think it was real. With grandkids around we don't have to worry about them getting burned, and I love the fact that I don't have to clean up after burning wood!We can't think of one bad thing to say about it!

I use it in my sitting room and it adds great ambiance. It is a small room and the fireplace is the only heating source. The room is not used often but the addition of the fireplace has made it very cozy.

Purchased this plug-in unit to fit within a custom-made corner fireplace box. Product arrived in perfect condition and installation was a breeze. Not having to deal with installing a gas line and vent was very appealing. The control panel lets you dial in the flame speed, intensity and fan speed. I was really surprised with how much heat this little unit puts out. It turns our 800+ sq. ft. finished basement into the warmest room of our house in about fifteen minutes. From a far, the electric fireplace flames look just like those of a gas fireplace. I would recommend installing a dedicated circuit for this unit; we blew our circuit breaker a few times while all of the lights and A/V equipment were turned on and the fireplace was running full tilt.
