This heater was one of the best choices I made for my new home! I use it to supplement central heat in a 500+ sq. ft. room with vaulted ceilings, and I often have to turn it to the low setting because it gets too warm. I love the espresso finish which is not black and is not brown but it goes well either one. It's very quiet, and I've had a lot of comments about how real the flame looks. A couple of people even asked if it's gas heater! I love it!

We use the fireplace every night after we come home from a long day of work. This winter has been so cold and the fireplace helps get the chill out of the air without raising our electric bill too high.

With all tile downstairs, it can be chilly in the winter. We bought this electric fireplace to add some heat in the kitchen area. There was limited wall space so this particular model was perfect. It's performed beautifully in heating for 'trial runs'. It should be great for extra heat in the kitchen area this winter. The only reason I didn't give it 4 stars is that we just got it. I'll come back to add an additional star later! I'd like to add that the mantle box is well made, very pretty, and a nice piece of furniture. The flame is very realistic and calming. It makes me smile.
