I use this in our living room under our 55inc TV it really makes the room look great it holds our Bose system and center speaker along with the cable box and this is not on top the fire place, my friends love it I have no buyers remorse this way!!!!!

Love this fireplace! High quality, gives off great heat and was easy to put together. It is a great addition to my bedroom. I liked this model since it offers plently of room for both my cable box and DVD player and the height of fireplace allows perfect viewing of the TV while watching from bed.
Service and delivery comments:
BE SURE TO OPEN THE BOX & LOOK AT ALL PARTS. The driver did not want to wait for me to look inside the box. He was insistant since the box wasn't damaged that the fireplace was fine. He was very pushy about his schedule and lack of time. I signed the papers and away he went. Unfortunately once I started to unpack the parts there was damage. Since I hadn't noted any damage on the shipping receipt I was not able to get a replacement unless I paid for a new part. Fortunately I was able to cover the damage.

I have to admit, when my wife said she wanted to buy an electric fireplace, my first thought was...CHEESY. And it's how much?
But I have to say I am very glad we got this fireplace. It looks great. Our cable box and XBox 360 fit perfectly in the media console.
I was pleasantly surprised on how realistic the fire looks. Obviously if you look closely its a fake fire but from the couch the "flame" mimics fire very well. Even the fake embers "throb" as real embers do. Definitely not the cheesy effect I expected. You can control the speed of the flame and the intensity of the heat.
The heating system is very good. It heats up a room very well...sometimes too well, so we need to turn it down.
As far as cons go, its obviously pricey. But if you can afford it, this is definitely worth it. It didn't come with specific written instructions on how to put together. Just a sheet of paper with a drawing giving you a general idea of how the pieces go together, but its fairly easy to figure out once you look at all the pieces. We had issue with some of the pieces not properly aligning when trying to screw in all the screws.
All in all, I definitely recommend this product. There's no dirt and hassle to deal with like you would with the real thing and it's just as nice for sitting by the fire with a loved one.

This entertainment center is dark expresso in color (almost black). It has a large center shelf to hold your media equipment. Will support most modern TVs. Large Dimplex firebox is one of the most realistic available. Logs include LED lights for pulsating ember effect.
Bottom Line: Very nice firebox in unique media mantel

This is a beautiful, sturdy, well-made piece of furtniture. It was a little pricier than something I would normally buy, but it was well worth it! Much nicer than other (cheaper) ones I've seen in person. The firebox is very realistic-looking, which was one of the most important things I was looking for. The only complaint about the flames is that I wish there was a slower speed setting. Even turned down at the lowest speed, they are still fairly fast, but still beautiful and realistic. The extra storage panels on the side don't hold very many dvd's at all since they are narrow and not very deep. But these things were very minor to me and this was by far the best choice for what I was looking for!

[...] Once opened, we immediately noticed a few defects. One hinge on each side of the two hinged doors was pulled completely out of the wood. The screws used in construction were too small. Had to replace the screws and this fixed the problem. The bag of screws and wing-nuts was ripped and caused the screws to roll freely within the box causing a few knicks in the mantel. Luckily we were able to use the touch up pen (after resaturating it with water since the cap was off and the pen dried out). Once the minor issues were resolved, the product performs as designed and is a beautiful piece of furniture. We've received many positive comments.
Service and delivery comments:
FedEx Frieght delivered the product. The condition of the boxes were as close to perfect as you can expect given the weight and the amount of distance they traveled.
