I love this fireplace insert. I was going to buy a free standing electric fireplace until I found out about the inserts - perfect for my already existing fp - the flames are so realistic looking. The unit is quiet overall and add just enough heat to take off the chill without turning on the baseboard heaters. My family room is approximately 25x17 and it works for me.

I am a first-time buyer, thus a little aprehensive about realistic flame etc. I need not have worried. Ordered the insert on Sunday, received it on Wednesday. Great packaging, fit perfectly, easy set-up (plug-it-in and go.) And that realistic flame - it is just that. I found myself trying to see how warm the flames were. Totally awesome product.

I have a long living room with a non working fireplace at one end and a TV at the other so it's always been like having two rooms. The fireplace insert now makes me want to sit on that side of the room more often. I also find I've started reading more in front of the fireplace and watching less TV. Best of all my three little Scottie dogs love the extra warmth!
