Very nice looking unit with realisic flame. I bought this for our lake place and have it in a 14 X 14 family room, which is used primarily to watch TV or just look out at the lake. I have a 40 inch flat screen and it would easily accomodate a 52 or even bigger.
The heat is enough to take the chill out (we keep our thermostat at 68) and the motor is quiet. The remote is very functional and allows you to control the heat (which also means no heat if thats what you want) and flame size. Don't bank on this as a major heat source for a room. For me, that wasn't what I needed or wanted this for.
It took about an hour to put together. I would highly suggest two people, but all you really need is a screwdriver. Very good design compared to some stuff I've had to put together.
We had 5 friends over last weeekend who would never consider an electric fireplace (hey, we're up north where there is plenty of wood) - until they saw this. I looked for quite some time, both online and in-store, before making this purchase. We are very pleased.

I really like this fireplace, it is what I was looking for. Easy set up, [...] The heat source is efficient in a 15' x 14' living room; great corner space. A very attractive piece of furniture which holds a 46" flat screen perfectly. I only wish the flame was adjustable. Other than that, it is a keeper!

We did a lot of online comparative shopping before we chose this fireplace. We were not disappointed! It's a little massive, but it looks great in our living room. The only thing we wish this unit had was an adjustable flame level like the electric fireplace we've now relegated to the guest room. I'm only average when it comes to using tools, but this was easy to put together. I only needed a phillips screwdriver, and working by myself it took me about an hour and half to complete. The design of this fireplace makes it easy to access your electronics because the firebox insert is easy to remove. Based upon our experience so far, we'd buy this brand again.
