We have had this fireplace for a little over a year and are extremely happy with it. We use it mainly for achieving the looks of a fireplace. We turn it on EVERY NIGHT! Not the heat of course, since we live in Florida. If we had it to do over again, we would still purchase this one. We love it!

The DF3215 offers the most realistic flame effect on the market today. The unit also has bi-fold doors and easy to reach controls. The digital remote control lets you control the unit flame or heat settings. I love this unit so much that I have one in my home!

People have been surprised that it is not a real flame -very realistic. This fireplace is easy to operate, looks great, is quiet, and sets a nice mood. It is not a primary heat source - but it does take the chill off. We love it.

I am happy with this fireplace, although with such a high price tag I was expecting a little more. The log set looks great and the flame effect is very convincing. The unit is a nice size and fits well in my custom mantel. As for the negatives, the firebrick is painted onto the mirror and looks nothing like what is in the pictures. The molded ember bed and log holder are kind of cheesy looking. On the whole though a nice unit, and the most realistic I have seen personally.

I built mine into the corner of the Master Bedroom. The intent was to create a built-in entertainment center with the TV, Stereo, DVR, DVD, and Fireplace. It is 12" off the ground so the fireplace can be in full view from the bed. Eventually we may add a step/ledge in front of it, but for now we like the clean look.

Bought what I felt was top of the line and spent more than I should. Built a very nice fireplace and installed with no problem. Fire realism great. Heat quit after three months. Ten year warranty included no parts availability and absolutely no service. Parts ordered with the comment " Are you handy? "And followed up with install instructions for the parts for the repair.j Still waiting for parts so that I can have the privilege of doing the repair myself. Very disappointed. We needed this as supplemental heat in an addition and have had none. Wish I had purchased locally where I at least had a contact to deal with when problems come up. I would have least expected a local service representative to come and see what might be wrong and handle the repair. Ten year warranty?? WOW ! !
