I use my DS4411 Fireplace in the living room. It just makes the room seem friendlier and cozy. I have trouble sleeping some nights and I can read a book by the fireplace and relax. The motor that makes the flames hums a little and I notice that but it is really a nice stove and I am glad I purchased it.

The heater has only one setting for output. It is at 1500 watts. The outlet in the room is 15 amp breaker and also runs another room and a hallway lights. The unit won't stay on since it is overloading the circuit! Need to get an electrician in to install a new dedicated circuit in order to use it. I have a cheaper unit that works at two different levels and at the low level provides plenty of heat at only 750 watts. This unit is much better quality but this one design flaw stops me from using it until and electrician comes to put in the new outlet and breaker (at several hundred $$$$ I assume).

I use the fireplace in my sun room, which allows me to keep the electric heat turned much lower. It heats up the room very quickly. It looks warm and inviting and adds to the room. I misjudged the size- should have bought a larger size for the size of my room. Also, I have not been able to get the remote to work, despite getting a new battery for it.
