For Your Home Collection of Fine Fireplace Mantels
are inspired by actual mantels and design elements found
at Biltmore Estate. Each fireplace mantel within the Biltmore
Estate For Your Home Collection is handcrafted with
careful attention to detail. Features like hand carved
corbels and detailed mouldings remind us of the design
and craftsmanship found at Biltmore Estate. Located in
Asheville, NC, George Washington Vanderbilt's Biltmore
House was completed in 1895. A 250-room French Renaissance
chateau, it is the largest private residence in the country
and a National Historic Landmark. The Estate receives
1,000,000 guests annually from all over the United States.
Biltmore House spans 175,000 square feet and has 34 bedrooms,
43 bathrooms, 65 fireplaces, three kitchens and an indoor
swimming pool. The estate showcases
8,000 acres (originally 125,000 acres) of glorious gardens
and bountiful woodlands.
Wood Types and Finish Options Each mantel design is available in your choice of four distinctive wood types and a host of beautifulfinishes. Poplar suitable for painting, and Red Oak, Cherry and Maple woods for staining are available. Mantels or shelves can be purchased unfinished or with a distinctive Sherwin Williams® paint finish or Minwax® stain including:
• Semi-gloss White Paint on Poplar
• Clear Polyurethane on Red Oak, Cherry or Maple
• Golden Oak on Red Oak
• Provincial on Red Oak
• Red Mahogany on Red Oak or Cherry
• Custom finishes are also available
Sizes Biltmore Estate For Your Home Fine Fireplace
Mantels are available in custom sizes. For full mantel
surrounds, simply select a Inside Width 'C', Inside
Height 'B' and Return Depth 'G'. Other dimensions
such as Overall Height 'A', and Overall Length 'D'
will change depending upon your C and B measurements.
For the mantel shelf, you may select the Overall
Length 'D' and Shelf Depth 'F'. Other dimensions
