Jefferson Builder Series Stone Fireplace Mantel

The Jefferson Builder Series stone mantel surround is part of a collection of four economical mantel kits that include an adjustable facing panel and a flat 1" hearth. The legs of each mantel should be positioned on either side of the firebox opening (up to 41" wide). The Adjustable Inset Panel will allow firebox opening heights between 32" and 40". Each mantel has variations in color and texture that captures the true essence of natural stone. Because this stone mantel is lightweight, preparation and installation are much easier and much less costly than traditional solid stone mantels. Special wall and floor reinforcement is not necessary for easy installation. Each stone mantel is fire resistant and allows for zero clearance from combustible material (no space required between firebox and this mantel material or surround facing), making it the perfect choice for gas or wood fireplaces.

Our Builder Series Stone Mantels are hand crafted by using old world techniques that create natural finishes with elaborate detail. Each finish has a special character. The molding process creates a strong, but relatively lightweight mantel. Natural Stone finishes are offered at no additional charge.

Note: All cast Natural Stone products have a degree of expected variation in shade, texture and veining. These markings are all part of the stone, add to the beauty of the mantel pieces, and are to be expected.

Each of our Builders Series mantels include an Adjustable Facing Inset Panel that allows for firebox opening heights between 32" and 40". Adjustable Inset Panel The included inset panel is 8" high and may slide up or down allowing a firebox opening height of between 32" and 40". Note: You may adjust the legs in either direction to fit firebox openings up to 41" wide.

Flat Hearths Hearth: The included hearth is 63" x 12" x 1" and has a square edge.

Installation of our Builder Series Stone Mantels is relatively simple for both remodel and new building applications. The mantel material is fairly lightweight which makes preparation and installation easier and much less costly than solid stone mantels. Each Builder Series Stone Mantel is fire resistant and allows for zero clearance from combustible material (no space required between firebox and mantel*), making it the perfect choice for gas or wood fireplaces.

Mantels can be installed with construction adhesive and a few screws. If cutting is required, a circular saw with a masonry diamond blade (found at any home center) will work. We include a repair/filler kit to fill in screw holes, seams or to repair a chip.
