Our European Collection of Fine Fireplace Mantels and Mantel Shelves are a distinctive series of solid wood mantels that feature a beautiful selection of finish choices including three levels of hand distressing. Each fireplace mantel within the European Collection is handcrafted with careful attention to detail. Features like hand carved accents and detailed mouldings remind us of the design and craftsmanship found in fine European homes. The sixteen-step hand rubbed finish process on each mantel surround and shelf provides a look that is similar to the finest furniture. Mantels are shipped with mounting brackets and complete instructions for simple installation.
Wood Types and Finish Options
Each mantel design is created from a select hardwood, including solid Alder, Clear Pine or Quartersawn Oak. Each mantel is available in up to 27 furniture quality, hand rubbed finish choices at no up charge. You may also select a level of hand distressing (antiquing) for a distinctive look.

Sizes
Our European Collection of Fine Fireplace Mantels are available in standard sizes that accommodate most 36”, 38” and 42” fireboxes. Mantel shelves are available in standard 60” and 72” lengths. Facing Material
We offer a selection of the fine marble, granite and travertine surround facing kits that complement the European Collection of Fine Fireplace Mantels selections. Simply, provide us with your fireplace opening dimensions during cart check out, and we will provide you with a precut surround facing kit designed to fit your space. Available in a variety of natural stone types and colors, the kits are simple to install.
