Wood Types and Finish Options
Timber Fireplace Mantels are constructed of solid greenwood, recently harvested specifically for your mantel. Coated in a finish made of natural Linseed Oil, mineral spirits and an exterior-grade stain, your mantel may seem wet and have a distinct odor when you first uncrate it. Please note that this is expected as part of the normal "setting" process.
Each mantel and shelf design is available in three distinctive, solid wood types and comes pre-finished in your choice of a durable Cabot exterior stain. New England Timber Works Fireplace Mantels are available in custom sizes. Return Depth "G" may be cut to accommodate facing material - Call for Details.
For full mantel surrounds, simply choose the desired Inside Width 'C' and Inside Height 'B'. Other dimensions will be determined based off these measurements. For timber shelves, select from 2 Standard Overall Lengths (60" or 72") or choose a custom length "D".
