Timber Fireplace Mantels are constructed of solid greenwood, which is wood that has been harvested recently and specifically for your mantel. It is then coated in a beautiful finish made of natural Linseed Oil, mineral spirits and an exterior-grade stain. For these reasons, your mantel may seem wet and have a distinct odor when you first uncrate it. Please note that this is expected as part of the normal "setting" process and should dissipate within a few days.

Each mantel shelf design is available in your choice of four distinctive, solid wood types and comes pre-finished in your choice of a durable Cabot exterior stain. New England Timber Works Fireplace Mantels are available in custom sizes.
